Players Missing Games or Practices
Everyone is busy in today's world but when you sign up to play on a team, there is an expected commitment. Yes, missing some games and some practices are sometimes unavoidable but players are expected to be at most. However, at minimum, the coach should be contacted as soon as possible when a player is expected to miss either a game or a practice.
The rule for missed practices is:
Any player who misses two games and/or practices without a good reason will be subject to
disciplinary action by the team manager. The maximum penalty will be dismissal from the team.
The manager must obtain the approval of the General Manager prior to applying any suspensions
or dismissals.
The rule for missed games is:
Any player who misses more than half of league games will be subject to suspension from
tournament games at the discretion of the General Manager as requested by the Head Coach.
Coaches do not have the authority to dismiss a player from a team but do have the authority to bench a player that is not attending practice or games. Coaches should communicate with the general manager when there is disciplinary action against a player.
Coaches. If you have a player not responding to your communication, please contact the main office. We will reach out and if still no communication we will begin the process of removing the athlete and replacing with another player (if available).
