At Lyndon Recreation, playing up is where an athlete participates in a league one level higher based on their age. We do permit playing up but the athlete must be in their last year in the league.
To Play up, the athlete must register first in the league they are normally assigned to based on their age. The website registration process will automatically add the athlete into the age group based on their birthdate. Once registration is completed, complete this form. (Do not complete the form until you have registered for the current season)
It is highly recommended that players only play up an age group if it is believed the athlete is skilled enough to participate in the higher age group understanding that the players will be more experienced along with bigger, stronger and faster. It is not advisable to move a player to an older age group for the reason to participate with a family member or a friend only.
Currently, we will only allow athletes to play up into the Senior Softball League from the Intermediate Softball League if we have enough players in the Intermediate SB League.
