At Lyndon Recreation, playing up is where an athlete participates in a league one level higher based on their age. We do permit playing up but the athlete must be in their last year in their league of their current league.
To Play up, the athlete must register first in the league they are normally assigned to based on their age. (The website system automatically places the child in the league/age group based on the birthdate). Once registration is completed you will receive a confirmation email that will include the link to request to play up.
Before you complete the form, please understand and agree to the following statements:
- My child is in his or her last year of the age group in which they are registered.
- The athlete is skilled enough to participate in an older/higher age group for safety reasons.
- The reason for the request is not just to play with a coach and or teammate for safety reasons.
- You understand that the request is not guaranteed. (We may require a try out prior to approval)
- If you register on the waiting list your request may not be able to be approved.
- You must complete this form every season. It is not automatic each season.
- Moving up to a higher league will most likely add a small additional charge.
