HOW TO SCHEDULE YOUR TEAM'S PRACTICE SCHEDULE
There are a few phases in scheduling your team practice times:
  1. Head Coaches that are HC's for two different teams at Lyndon will have priority and will be given the ability to schedule their practice times prior to the coaches meeting or will be first at the coaches meetings.
  2. To intensify coaches to get their players to register as early as possible, coaches that accomplish these three tasks will be able to schedule their practice prior to the coaches meeting for that league: (MUST BE COMPLETED AT LEAST 7 DAYS PRIOR TO THE LEAGUE COACHES MEETING)
    1. Head Coach is registered on the website.
    2. The team has at least 10 players officially added to the roster.
    3. Team Name is requested officially.
    4. The Head Coach will receive an email with instructions to schedule their practice times.
  3. Schedule practices at the coaches meeting.
  4. If the team does not get their practice schedules they will need to follow the instructions below:
SCHEDULING PRACTICES OUTSIDE OF THE COACHES MEETING

2-View your league by clicking on the appropriate tab on the bottom of the page.
3-Identify the available times based on the google sheet.

One of our core missions is that every player improves in their skill level every season and this can only be achieved through practice.   Although quality practice should always be the goal, it is important that quantity happens as well so we do encourage teams to find ways to practice as much as the can but, of course, under a blanket of equality for each team.  So, here are the policies for additional practice times:
  1. Teams can always show up at the park to have extra practice as the facility is always open if the field, tunnel, space is available.
  2. REMEMBER:  THE PRACTICE TIMES ON THE GOOGLE SHEET ARE NOT COMPLETELY RELIABLE IN DETERMINING AVAILABLE TIMES AS WE DO RENT OUT THE FIELD TO OUTSIDE GROUPS.
  3. You can only practice (officially scheduled) one extra time during the week.
  4. You can only practice (officially scheduled) one extra time during the weekend.

YOUR BATTING TUNNEL/CAGE
Each field has a designated batting tunnel with the current exceptions of fields 1 and 12.  (We are in the process of building a new tunnel for 12 that we hope to have available by the spring 2026)
Please follow the following procedures for the use of the batting tunnel:
  1. Please only use the tunnel during your designated time of 30 minutes prior to your official practice time.
  2. Machine Pitch coaches:  Return the practice machine to the tower.
  3. If you remove the pitching protective screen, return it to the tunnel.

WEATHER CONSIDERATIONS FOR PRACTICES
  1. Each Head Coach/Team determines if they will practice or not due to inclimate weather.
  2. Do not remove water from the field!
  3. Do not practice on the dirt if it is wet with the feet sinking in.
  4. Teams can use the outfield, batting tunnel and/or open field areas during practice times if the dirt areas are too wet.
  5. Remember, you can reschedule a practice time if you are rained out.  See Rescheduling Practices above.
