Back in the Draft

Okay, so we don't actually draft but we do pull all new players from a "pool".   This pool of players consists of brand new players that are entering the division or league for the first time with the following exceptions:
  1. Players are automatically assigned to teams where their parent is the head coach.
  2. Players are automatically assigned to teams where their parent is the official assistant coach.
  3. Players are automatically assigned to teams where their sibling is already on the team.  (Siblings will be assigned together on the same team)
  4. Players that played for the same head coach in the previous fall will be coaching the current spring.  (New rule effective spring 2022)
  5. Players that request to be placed "back in the draft".
When a player is placed back in the draft, they are requesting to NOT play for the same coach as they did last year.  We will place this player in the pool of players that will be assigned to a team and will be placed on a team OTHER than the team they played for the previous year.
