HOW TO SCHEDULE YOUR TEAMS PRACTICE TIMES
Currently, we have an incentive program for coaches to help establish rosters as early as possible. Teams that have achieved the following will be able schedule practice times before the coaches meetings:
- Team Name
- Head Coach Registered
- A minimum of 10 players assigned to the roster.
Once the Team has reached the above requirements, the Head Coach will receive an email with the next steps.
We will still have time at the coaches meetings to schedule practice times.
PRACTICE TIMES GOOGLE SHEETS
Practice times will be assigned on google sheets as they are scheduled and at the coaches meetings. These times are assigned by the General Manager and the Google Sheets are set for view only to assist in determining what times are available.
DISCLAIMERS:
- Head Coaches that coach two teams will have priorities over their practice times.
- It will be possible to trade/switch practice times at the coaches meeting.
SCHEDULING ADDITIONAL PRACTICE TIMES
One of our core missions is that every player improves in their skill level every season and this can only be achieved through practice. Although quality practice should always be the goal, it is important that quantity happens as well so we do encourage teams to find ways to practice as much as the can but, of course, under a blanket of equality for each team. So, here are the policies for additional practice times:
- Teams can always show up at the park to have extra practice as the facility is always open if the field, tunnel, space is available.
- REMEMBER: THE PRACTICE TIMES ON THE GOOGLE SHEET ARE NOT COMPLETELY RELIABLE IN DETERMINING AVAILABLE TIMES AS WE DO RENT OUT THE FIELD TO OUTSIDE GROUPS.
- If a team wants to schedule an extra practice time, they can do so through our request portal under the following policies:
- You can only practice (officially scheduled) one extra time during the week.
- You can only practice (officially scheduled) one extra time during the weekend.
- SCHEDULING ADDITIONAL TIME REQUEST FORM
There are numerous reasons a team may need to reschedule a practice time, so when there is a need to reschedule, please use the request form to make sure there are available times. Please give at least 3 days notice as much as possible. RESCHEDULING PRACTICE REQUEST FORM
YOUR BATTING TUNNEL/CAGE
Each field has a designated batting tunnel with the current exceptions of fields 1 and 12. (We are in the process of building a new tunnel for 12 that we hope to have available by the spring 2026)
Please follow the following procedures for the use of the batting tunnel:
- Please only use the tunnel during your designated time of 30 minutes prior to your official practice time.
- Machine Pitch coaches: Return the practice machine to the tower.
- If you remove the pitching protective screen, return it to the tunnel.
WEATHER CONSIDERATIONS FOR PRACTICES
- Each Head Coach/Team determines if they will practice or not due to inclimate weather.
- Do not remove water from the field!
- Do not practice on the dirt if it is wet with the feet sinking in.
- Teams can use the outfield, batting tunnel and/or open field areas during practice times if the dirt areas are too wet.
- Remember, you can reschedule a practice time if you are rained out. See Rescheduling Practices above.
