The Sub Up Rule for Parents and Players

The Sub Up Rule for Parents and Players

There are times, for a variety of reasons, has players not able to be play on a given night.  We try to keep the rosters at at least 12 for this reason but this sometimes isn't enough and there are also times that the roster, for a variety of reasons, fall below 12.  So, for this reason, we have developed what we call the Sub Up Program.  Here is how it works:
  1. Players from the younger age group that are in their last year and they and their parents believe they are skilled enough to participate in the next oldest league can submit their name as a sub on this form.
  2. PLAYERS MUST BE ON A CURRENT ACTIVE ROSTER TO BE ELIGIBLE TO SUB UP.
  3. PLAYERS MUST HAVE A COMPLETED SUB UP FORM TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SUB UP PROGRAM.
  4. Only current players in Bantam, Rookie, Junior & Intermediate levels are eligible.
  5. If the player is not in the last year of the current league, the parents will be notified that the player can not participate.
  6. Each Player will be assigned to a specific team where, when needed, the coach will reach out to the family with a request to play in a particular game.
  7. The parent(s) will be informed who their assigned team and coach is.
  8. The current assigned league takes priority.  Players will not be permitted to play in a sub up game when their current team is playing.
  9. Players will wear their current team uniform.
  10. Sub Up players are not permitted to pitch.
  11. Sub Up players just follow the rules of the league in which they are subbing.
  12. Lyndon Recreation has the right to refuse a player from playing up for any reason.
  13. If the coach contacts you to play and you attend the game, you are required to play in that game.
  14. You, as the players parent, has the right to refuse to play in a game without reason.  However, refusing to participate more than twice may remove the player from the program.
  15. You, as the player's parent, has the right to request to NOT play for a coach but it must be in writing via email.
  16. Players from the same "younger league" will be assigned to different teams.
  17. You, as the player's parent will not be able to request a coach and or a teammate.
